MHP finance chief joins Ketchum

Jared Robinson has spent the past four years at MHP Group, most recently as chief financial officer. Now, he takes up the same role at Ketchum.

Previously, Robinson spent more than a decade at Edelman, serving as the agency’s chief financial officer in the Middle East.

Commenting on his appointment at Ketchum, Ruth Allchurch, the agency’s new UK boss, said: “Having only recently joined myself as UK CEO, I couldn’t be happier to have a CFO of Jared’s calibre by my side as we take Ketchum UK into its next chapter of growth.

“Jared has an enviable track record in leading high-performing teams and will be an invaluable partner and leader within Ketchum.”

Meanwhile, MHP has promoted director of finance Raneisha Tarnai to the role of chief financial officer.

During her two years at the agency, Tarnai has assisted with its growth and development. Now, she is expected to aid MHP’s further expansion strategy by forming part of its acquisition team.

Tarnai has previously held finance roles at Edelman, as well as tech businesses SAP and CA Technologies.

She now takes over leadership of MHP’s finance function, working alongside Janaide Stennett, who recently joined the firm as senior commercial finance manager.

Alex Bigg, chief executive of MHP Group, said: “Ran has had tremendous impact since joining the business. Her leadership will be crucial as we continue our growth story, both in terms of planning for organic growth and supporting future acquisitions, following the acquisition of La Plage earlier this year.”

In PRWeek UK’s recently published Top 150 rankings, MHP Group reached 16th place with UK revenue of £35.1m in 2023.

It is estimated that following the agency’s recent acquisition of creative agency Studio La Plage, the combined group has an annual revenue of around £40m, with a headcount of 220 people.

Meanwhile, Ketchum ranked narrowly behind MHP in 17th place, with UK revenue of £34.2m, according to PRWeek estimates.
